With a proven track record of building successful startups and an extensive background in global private equity and venture-backed technology markets, Mr. Azulai, drive strategic vision, strategy, and technology leadership. His experience includes roles in creating new markets and rapid revenue growth by leveraging disruptive technologies and innovation. Mr. Azulai is a dynamic agent of change with an entrepreneurial nature and high energy level. He combines business acumen, innovation management, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
Prior to founding Kātao, Mr. Azulai has founded five start-ups, out of which he managed four and sold three with returns of approx. 28X to investors. His last exit, Plexistor Ltd. was sold to NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP), where he served as a director and managed an entire product line from development to revenue. Sharon has also managed Coridan Inc. which was sold to BEA Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: BEAS) and Conduct Inc. that was sold to Mercury Interactive (NASDAQ: MERQ). Tonian Inc. was acquired by Primary Data Inc.
Mr. Azulai was a venture partner at Blumberg Capital II, a San Francisco based VC, focusing on building great companies in enterprise, mobility, software, Internet technology and digital media. As the head of the Fund’s operation in Israel, he was responsible for managing all activities in Israel including identify emerging technologies and start-ups, conducting business and technology due diligence, and mentoring the Fund’s portfolio companies in Israel.
Mr. Azulai holds B.A. in Business Management and served at the intelligence unit at the Israeli defense force.
